Millions of garment workers around the world are not paid wages that can support them with even the basic living standards. While these comanies are funding a multi-billion-dollar industry. The growth of fast fashion and quick trend turn around has exponentially increased demand for low prices. These prices then create a domino affect allowing for these cost cuts to come at the expense of the worker in saftey, pay and dignity. These workers risk their lives daily to appease the greed of companies and consumers. Through changes in legeslation, consumer awareness and corporate responsibility we can help to change the tide for these workers.
